The event took place on May 11, 2015 and the Culture of Honor was established in this community. Because of the efforts of these two great men to establish the Golden Rule New Global Ethic, “Treat others the way you want to be treated,” Washington, North Carolina is forever changed; it is a ground in which to cultivate a Culture of Honor.

His Eminence Dr. Jonathan Ansar, Metropolitan Arch Bishop of the National Church of India was recently appointed an Official Global Liaison for Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative – India. Dr. Ansar works with the All India Christian United Front and is dedicated to the Golden Rule Guiding Principle; “Treat others the way you want to be treated” and establishing Cultures of Honor in India and around the world.

Ambassador Clyde Rivers, the Representative for the North American Division to the United Nations – New York said, “This amazing man is working to bring peace and unity to the country of India. We agree that every person born in India is valuable because they were created for a contribution to help the world. The youth of these islands are important to the future. Dr. Melida Harris-Barrow will do Business Development Training for the young people in San Andres and Providence at the Youth Peace and Economic Summit. Eyes on Washington Radio Program, with radio hosts Doug Basler and Marty McClendon, debate top issues from a Christian perspective. They broadcast information and commentary from  Washington State to Washington D.C.

The Golden Rule as a Global Ethic to better mankind was central to the conversation with the radio hosts Doug Basler and Marty McClendon. Ambassador Rivers was asked what is the importance of the Golden Rule? Ambassador Rivers explained, “My message embraces the point that every individual person alive has value. As a matter of fact, if every individual were able to live out his or her particular contribution to society, our world would be a better place. It would be a place where the fulfillment of the needs of nations would be met because every person’s gift would be a contribution to the success of those nations. The open door to this kind of Culture of Honor is the Golden Rule Global Ethic – “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” This ethic lifts everyone higher and builds great communities and nations. DR. EVERETT HERSHEY GOLDEN RULE WORLD PEACE AMBASSADOR SHARES ON HUMAN RIGHTS AT THE iCHANGE NATIONS™ - HUMAN RIGHTS GLOBAL CONGRESS™ LAUNCH

It was a great privilege to be a part of the unveiling of the iChange Nations™ - Human Rights Global Congress™, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I believe that this organization will be one of the most effective teachers of Human Rights in the world today. I say this because I saw the vision, not to promote the rights of one nation, religion, or individual, but to promote the rights of all humans.   

I was able to speak on the Human Rights Article 19 of the United Nations, ”Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.”

We will not always agree in life, but that does not mean that every individual should not be able to state what he or she believes. The surest way to destroy all the other Human Rights is to not allow someone to speak out when their rights have been violated.

The Human Rights should never be up for a vote of popular opinion. If this happens, you will see the destruction of a freethinking society. It becomes one of tyranny in a very short period of time. As Benjamin Franklin said “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.”

The only way to ensure that the rights of all men, women and children are protected is not through the strength of our police force or military, but through the teaching and the practice of living the Golden Rule – “Do not do anything to another that you not want them to do to you.”

On May 15^th, 2015 the community of Livingston, California was introduced to the Culture of Honor with the Golden Rule International Award and iChange Nations™. Community Ambassador Award. Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers presented the awards and Drs. Sonny and Linda Lara hosted the event. Golden Rule International Awards and iChange Nations™ Community Ambassador Awards were presented to several outstanding Livingston community leaders that are living the Golden Rule, “Treat others the way you want to be treated” and working to help their community.
